I feel like I've been in labor for 3 days with this blog post and I'm starting to feel it in my lower back and my right knee! I really thought I would give birth this morning, but it just wasn't ready to make it's appearance yet. Over the past few days, I have wondered this: I do not know HOW people blog so frequently?! A daily blogger?? No way! Impossible! I take F-O-R-E-V-E-R. It is downright embarrassing. It must be a "Monkish" trait I possess. I care too much. Well,I know what the problem is: The problem for me lies in the process I go through to get my photos ready to post AND the volume of photos I want to include. I want bigger photos, so I have to send them to Photobucket (if anyone knows a different way, please tell me.) So, I have a love/hate relationship with blogging. I LOVE getting to this point where I can actually DO it. It's just all the prep work...Sheesh, I am so sorry. I just had to vent. I think I'm ready to move on.
O.K., NOW TO THE BEST PART:
The other thing I LOVE is getting to meet wonderful couples like Brittany and Dax and being with them on their wedding day. Then I get to relive their special day as I go through their photos...so that is definitely on the PLUS side. What I came away with after my time with them is what a loving, supportive network of family and friends they have. I felt it and saw it played out. I was happy to have my friend, Lynn (of duckling fame) second shooting with me.
We started the day at Brittany's mom's place with all the girls getting ready. Hair and Makeup was done by Jaime Bravo of You May Kiss The Bride (623)206-2322 along with her assistant.
It was almost time to leave for Anthem Park, where the groom and groomsmen were waiting. Time for just a few pictures.
I was impressed with how calm Brittany & Co. were. She looked beautiful.
Brittany with her cute mom and sister.
The Girlfriends.
Meanwhile, Dax and the guys, looking handsome in their tuxes...waiting patiently in the warmish weather.
It's time...here come the girls. Anthem Park was a beautiful setting for their wedding. For being a public area, it felt very private.
Dax spots Brittany being escorted by her mom and dad.
No surprise Brittany is such a beauty. Her mom, Buffi, is so cute and her dad looks like a swashbuckling movie star. Google "Swashbuckling" and I'm sure you'll see a photo of Brittany's dad or Errol Flynn.
I'm always touched by this "giving away" that takes place. It's good-bye to an era. She is now going from being their daughter to being that AND someone's wife, starting the next leg of her journey together with her new husband. I can't help it, I am so sentimental. That's why weddings are a perfect fit!
It's official!
Cheers for the new Mr. and Mrs.
Off for a few photos before the reception. I was not expecting wind...but it eventually found us! :-) These are before the wind.
Brittany and her beautiful Bridesmaids.
Feeling the love from the dad's and the other groomsmen...
Dax was feeling the love, too...just not quite as much support as Brittany.
Time for the party to begin...
To Be Continued...At the Reception
